Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The rooms, while clean and somewhat comfortable, had a dreary decor and some maintenance issues like a sticky parquet floor. The service, on the other hand, was excellent with friendly and helpful staff proficient in multiple languages. The location was quite convenient, close to many attractions in Porto, though there were some noise issues early in the morning. The dining experience left much to be desired with limited options and subpar quality, especially considering the high room rates.
During the weekend stay, the hotel offered good views from the rooms, but it was ridiculously noisy from the bar patrons until dawn. Despite that, the layout with two separate rooms was convenient for our family with older children.
The hotel's location was superb for exploring the city, placing me right in the middle of everything with easy access to shops, restaurants, and sightseeing spots. The rooms were a mixed bag - while my balcony offered a lovely and quiet retreat, the noise from the bar patrons until dawn made it necessary to use noise-cancelling headphones to sleep. The decor could use a bit of a refresh as it felt kind of dreary at times.
The hotel had a cozy back room with a lovely balcony making it a quiet city center stay. The beds were comfortable, and the tea tray was well stocked. However, the room felt seedy, unclean, and extremely cold, almost like being outside.
